Hello Friends! As I am reflecting on this past week, I am relatively proud of what I have accomplished.
Main focuses this week was cutting out sugar and treats. I realized that I was going all day eating perfectly. Managing macros, tracking calories, getting my steps in- you name it I was doing it. Then it would hit 8PM and I could not stop thinking about ice cream, chocolate, or chips. I was completely sabotaging my progress.
So, last week I cut out the treats at night, but not just the treats. I completely stopped eating around 7 PM. This was so helpful for controlling the cravings for sugar. When I knew that I was done eating once it got to 7PM I was able to keep from allowing those intrusive thoughts that said just one square of chocolate would be a good idea (because lets be real I would eat the entire bar).
This is something I will continue into this week. I’ve also listened to quite a few podcasts that doctors have spoken to the many benefits of giving your body the time to reset and readjust during this time at night in a fasted state.
I lost two pounds this week, increased energy and activity, and continued to focus on hydration and nutrition. Overall, I am looking forward to maintaining these habits this week, and hopefully having similar progress.
